Innate Postpartum Care -
To nourish, rejuvenate and support the physiologic design
of newborn mothers and babies.

Did you know that postpartum care is not a luxury?

* It is a NEED that every mother and her family deserves to receive. Also known as the 4th trimester, the postpartum is a time for rest, renewal and integration - physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological integration . . . a synthesis of new energies, a way of being and new life path.

* In the Ayurvedic tradition of India, the postpartum is considered a sacred window of opportunity for optimal health, such that 42 days of proper nourishment, extended rest and mother-care will positively affect, strengthen and create a woman's health, well-being and vitality for the next 42 years.  Cultural postpartum traditions teach how a woman is cared for during her postpartum time will be reflected in her post-menopausal health.

* Did you know that REST is a non-negotiable, physiologic imperative for BOTH mother and baby? Pregnancy represents a time of growth and the postpartum represents a time of rest. The moon cycle, the natural rhythms of our Earth and all life cycles have a period of growth and then rest.  The ancient prescription of REST in the postpartum time is to be in balance and in harmony with the natural rhythms of life, which IS our path to health and vitality . . . for our adrenals, spleen, hormones, ligaments, pelvic floor and organs, emotions and psychological state of being. In other words, REST is a necessity, NOT a luxury.

* Allowing for rest is one of the essential components of self-care during the postpartum 4th trimester; the other is RECEIVING. Tuning in to your innate wisdom and listening to what you really need, asking for and RECEIVING support, creates a  daily self-care practice. . . and, a self-care routine for MOTHERS is a way to HALT the intergenerational trauma of putting our selves last . . . which in turn . . . is a REVOLUTIONARY ACT of LOVE for all of Humankind. . . which means instead of  just surviving there are THRIVING Mothers and Families!
